Fall Mobile Repair Days

Sat. Nov. 8th, 2008: Karen Burmese Refugees at Kingswood Apts

ReCYCLEry members and volunteers will gather on several saturdays this fall and pack a mini shop onto bike trailers and ride to under-served neighborhoods to work with kids on their bikes. The idea is to reinforce mechanic skills learned at ReCYCLEry, showcase the utilitarian aspect of the bicycle, realize we haven't stopped having fun on bikes (though we may also possess a driver's license), and reach out to kids who may be geographically isolated from ReCYCLEry.

Volunteers should meet at ReCYCLEry between 9-9:30am as we load trailers. We then ride together to a local neighborhood to turn wrenches with the larger community. Wear your helmet and bring drinking water.
